Radian Architecture Pty Ltd (Radian, we, us, our) is an architecture, master planning and strategic advisory studio based in Perth, Western Australia, and part of the Red Invest Capital Holdings group. We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how we keep it secure, and how you can access or correct it. It applies to this website and to the way we deal with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, job applicants and members of the public.

2. What we collect

The kinds of personal information we collect depend on how you deal with us. It may include:

• Your name, organisation, job title and contact details (postal address, email address and telephone number)
• Information you provide through our contact form, by email, by phone or in person, including the nature of your enquiry or project
• Project-related information, including site details, briefs, approvals and correspondence, which may incidentally contain personal information about you or others
• Information about consultants, contractors and suppliers we engage, including ABNs, insurances, qualifications and bank details for payment
• For job applicants and ADAPT Program candidates: your CV, qualifications, work history, referees and, where you choose to provide it, information about Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identity for the purposes of Indigenous employment and training initiatives
• Technical information collected automatically when you use this website, described under Website analytics and cookies below

We do not ask for sensitive information unless it is reasonably necessary for a specific purpose and you have consented, or we are otherwise permitted or required by law.

3. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you where possible: when you contact us, engage us, apply to work with us, attend our events, or connect with us on LinkedIn. We may also collect information from third parties such as your employer, a head contractor, a client, a referee you nominate, or publicly available sources, where that is reasonable and relevant to our work.

If you provide us with personal information about another person, please make sure you are entitled to do so and that the person is aware of this policy.

4. Why we use it

We collect, hold and use personal information to:

• Respond to enquiries and provide our services
• Prepare proposals, fee agreements and tender submissions
• Deliver, document and administer projects, including liaison with clients, authorities, consultants and contractors
• Manage our relationships with suppliers and contractors and process payments
• Assess applications for employment, traineeships and the ADAPT Program
• Meet our legal, regulatory, insurance and professional obligations, including registration with the Architects Board of Western Australia
• Send you information about our work, events and news where you have opted in, with the ability to unsubscribe at any time
• Maintain, improve and secure this website

5. Who we share it with

We may disclose personal information to:

• Other companies within the Red Invest Capital Holdings group where that is necessary to deliver an integrated service
• Clients, project managers, consultants, contractors and authorities involved in a project, to the extent required to carry out that project
• Service providers who support our business, such as IT, cloud storage, email, document management, accounting, insurance and recruitment providers
• Professional advisers, including lawyers, accountants and auditors
• Government agencies, regulators, courts or law enforcement where required or authorised by law

Some of our service providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where this occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles your information consistently with Australian privacy law.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Website analytics and cookies

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this. The information is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by disabling cookies in your browser.

Our contact form is protected by hCaptcha, which may collect technical information about your device to distinguish people from automated traffic. Use of hCaptcha is subject to its own privacy policy.

This website links to third-party sites such as LinkedIn. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

7. How we keep it secure

We hold personal information in secure electronic systems and, where necessary, in paper files at our Perth studio. We use access controls, encryption in transit, password and multi-factor authentication policies, and reputable cloud providers to protect information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. Project records may be retained for extended periods to meet professional, insurance and statutory obligations. When information is no longer needed we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

8. Access and correction

You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information. In limited circumstances we may refuse access, in which case we will explain why.

9. Complaints

If you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that breaches the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page, with the date it was last updated.
